We put together a small video hoping that the next time you want to venture out, you think of the kids who are missing out on making memories that last a lifetime! Please #StayHome4Us so we can salvage what is left of our season and get these kids back on the field! #StayHome4Us

Great to see our SJGSL teams coming together during this rough time!

Check out this link for a video of all 6 of our U14- Flight 1 teams doing a distance juggling video.

They are waiting to get back on the pitch, and until that happens they have been working hard staying in shape.

Great editing job by Upper Wave’s Anastasia!

Coronavirus Update

5/24/20 -  We hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe during these tough times.  As you know, the SJGSL has been keeping hope alive as far as playing some games this spring season, even if they would get played in June/July.  However,  it has become increasingly clear that between the current state of recreation restrictions, the concerns of our parents, the closed status of school and township playing fields and an overriding concern over the health & well-being of our players, circumstances will not make it possible for games to be played during this time period.  As such, the Spring 2020 season is now officially over and no further games will be scheduled.

We want to thank everyone for your cooperation and your patience through these last couple of months.  We hope that everyone in our SJGSL family stays safe and that you enjoy the summer as best that you can.  We're looking forward to seeing all of you again in the fall.

SJGSL is currently monitoring information released by US Soccer, the CDC, and FIFA as it relates to the continuing Coronavirus outbreak. Our concern will  always be the health and safety of our players, coaches, referees and their families in and around the game of soccer. As of the writing of this, all league events will go forward as scheduled.  The guidance from US Soccer notes that:

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed. Everyday preventive actions should be taken, including:

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Stay home when you are sick.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

Follow the CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.

CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including Coronavirus.

Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms to help prevent the spread of the disease.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

Please take steps to ensure the safety of your players, coaches and families while also promoting sportsmanship after the match. Many suggestions have been put forth regarding alternatives to the high five or hand shake after a match; those include fist bump, elbows, waving, and foot taps. Or please feel free to use any other method of promoting sportsmanship after a match while still keeping player safety in mind.

Thank you,

Due to the IFAB law changes that are going into affect for the Spring 2020 season, the Playing Rules and Fact Sheet have been updated and posted.

South Jersey Girls Soccer League
2018/2019 SJ Cup

Following up on our coaching license discussion at the mandatory meeting, everyone should be aware that, in order to be on the player sideline during games, all assistant coaches, trainers and any other staff member MUST have a coaching license and that license must have been uploaded to the league.  If that license was secured by way of our South Jersey License Course, the league already has that information and there is no need to upload that certificate.

Information on how to upload the license can be found under the Coach Resources/Coaching Education tab along the top of the main page of the league website.

It can be found under the rules and forms dropdown.
